Sage to withdraw support on Sage 50 v2014

We are making clients, and those who it affects, aware that Sage have announced they will be withdrawing support for Sage 50 Accounts v2014 after 1 March 2016.

Each year Sage invests in research and development to improve their software and services in line with customer feedback and new technology.

As part of this development work it is standard practice that they withdraw support from older versions of software.

After 1 March 2016, if you are running your accounts on Sage 50 v2014, your current software will still function as it always has. However, Sage will no longer guarantee compatibility with any current or future software and hardware you may use. This means you may experience challenges that they will not be able to offer support with.

David Sharp, our Partner who advises clients on the implementation and running of accounting systems, commented, “For those on out-dated software the good news is there is now a lot of choice when it comes to accounting systems and pricing has become more competitive.”

“With technology moving forward in the way it has over the past few years there are also plenty of new features, so this could be a good opportunity to improve your accounting efficiency and optimise business processes.”

Please contact us if you would like to discuss your accounting system and which packages are most suitable for your business needs.
