What is the Christmas Giftbox Appeal?
Launched in 2025 by local resident Jeanette Buckle, the appeal began with a simple but meaningful idea: to spread some Christmas joy to those who might otherwise feel alone over the festive period.
With the generosity of local residents, businesses, churches and volunteers, the initiative quickly grew into a fantastic community effort. Last year, more than 200 giftboxes filled with thoughtful treats and gifts were delivered to older residents across the region. This year, the aim is to reach even more people and make an even bigger difference.

How are we getting involved?
We got an early start this year, welcoming volunteers to our Beaconsfield office to help wrap the shoeboxes ready to be filled with donations.
We also got creative, transforming the boxes into a festive Christmas tree, as pictured! Our team will also be donating gifts and treats to help fill the boxes and bring a smile to someone’s face this Christmas.
How can you help?
The appeal is looking for donations of new, preloved or regifted items to fill the giftboxes. Suggestions include toiletries, tea, coffee, biscuits, chocolates and small gifts. Every contribution, however big or small, can help make Christmas a little brighter for someone.
Donations can be dropped off at our Beaconsfield office between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
You can also support the appeal at the Beaconsfield Festival of Lights on Wednesday 2 December, where our team will be stationed outside our office and hosting a prize draw to raise funds for this wonderful cause.
We are extremely grateful for your support!
