IT Support Technician

We are currently seeking an IT Support Technician who will be responsible for resolving IT support requests for the business and clients where neccessary. They will assist in the running of an efficient, consistent and scalable IT infrastructure and will be the day to day, 1st or 2nd line of IT support to the business. The ideal candidate will have a calm, logical and patient demeanour with a mature approach. They will also hold a recognised IT qualification with at least 1 years’ experience in a similar role, or a recent graduation with an IT related degree. Technical skills that would be an advantage include:

  • Windows Server 2008 – 2016 / Windows 7/8/10 Professional / Enterprise
  • Microsoft Office 2013+ / Microsoft Exchange 2016
  • Active Directory / VOIP Telephony
  • Hardware configuration and troubleshooting (inc printers)
  • SQL report writing and database management
  • Virtualisation technologies and management
  • Backup systems (Shadowprotect)
  • Disaster recovery
  • Remote Desktop Farms / Thin Client
  • Networking topology and equipment (Routers, Switches, Access points, Firewalls)
  • Anti-virus products
  • Linux / Sage
